ThreeFortyNine Next? TL;DR
Hey, I'm Brydon and I built Guelph's first coworking space(349) back in 2011 which I ran for over a decade.
If you were a member at 349, I miss you and I’m curious what you’ve been working on. Recently at my local coffee shop, I overheard a stranger discussing their ecommerce site and another talking about building a newsletter. I wanted to know more, who are they, what are they creating?
I'm building a new community here in Guelph for all of us working from home, working hybrid, starting businesses, or juggling full-time jobs with gig work. Think of it as a coworking space...without the physical space.
Why no physical space? Most coworking spaces are tied to the real estate model, which can overshadow the community aspect. In simple terms, this can create conflicts; in extreme cases, it gets really weird.
This initiative is about reimagining what coworking can be, liberated from the constraints of a physical location. It's designed from the ground up to be a community, not just another network. There are plenty of networks out there; this isn't one of them.
Imagine a thriving, asynchronous online space where we can all ask questions, share lessons, and support each other. The real magic happens when our online interactions are enhanced by real-life connections. Whether it's a one-on-one coffee to vent about paywalls or attending every event we host—the choice is yours.
If you're just looking for another network, or if you're not open to engaging with us in real life, this is not for you. But if you value genuine connection, both online and in person, you’ll find real value here.
I hate to end with this but....more coming soon....
